October was so amazing my head is still spinning from all the great giving! Not only did we finish up our eighth month of giving for good, but we launched our first #give10 micro-project to multiply awesome.
One might think that after 246 days of giving it would be getting difficult to find world changing projects. But I think we’re just beginning to uncover the most innovative and inspiring stuff out there. In fact, I’m more excited to be giving now than I was in March when we started the giving experiment with our first 10$ donation.
Here’s the list of all the awesome world and neighborhood changing projects we supported in October:
2 Lamba Central Playground Project
5 Sak Saum Village Outreach / The Antioch Group Lockard Grant
8 @The________Andy running for Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC)
9 Race2Raise Funds for Children
10 Team Challenge for Chron’s & Colitis
15 HALO trust
18 Akili Dada
21 Metropolitan Ministries Tampa
22 Operation OF
23 Bookshare
28 Global Giving Turkey Earthquake Fund
Want to nominate a project to receive a donation? Just let us know who know that’s making a difference!
Where should we #give10 in November?

I admire your daily giving initiative. A few months ago I made a goal for myself to donate – give a little – every week. I think I am going to borrow some ideas of worthy causes/org from your site! Here are my suggestions for your November giving: Heal Africa helps survivors of rape/gender violence in DRC: http://www.healafrica.org/ AND Everyone Deserves A Roof (EDAR) provides mobile shelters to homeless men, women and children: http://www.edar.org/index.html. Great job Stephanie. You continue to inspire.
Dear Stephanie,
Thank you so much for your donation to Legacies of War. Most of our funding comes from individual donors like you, which make our work to save lives in Laos today and for generations to come possible.
You inspire us to continue moving forward.
Kop chai lai lai!

I’m completely inspired by this idea! You are undoubtedly an “idea woman.” I hope you don’t mind if I try out the $10/day in December. I promise to give you all the credit for the original brilliance. Thank you for the inspiration.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions!
Bruno/Lyn – Heal Africa is great- I supported their work in Congo in my very first month, and I’ve just given to EDAR thanks to your recommendation.
Channapha- Happy to support your work in Laos and will be following you on FB.
Molly- you’re awesome! Can’t wait to see where all your giving goes in December. Hope you spread the spirit of generosity to many more through your own #give10
